Hanson Another Nice Outing, Braves Top Phillies

Pitching phenom Tommy Hanson pitched four innings and allowed four hits and one run, striking out seven Phillie batters as the Braves won 7-2.

Hanson left the game with the score tied 1-1. Jason Donald singled and then scored on Ronny Paulino's double. The Braves got that one back with Jeff Francoeur's sac fly and took the lead in the fifth. Atlanta broke out in the sixth, scoring four runs. Diory Hernandez and Brandon Jones had two hits each. Brooks Conrad had an RBI double.

James Parr allowed the only run (an unearned run in his two-inning stint) in the work the Braves' pen put it. Mike Gonzalez, Peter Moylan and Francisely Bueno all had scoreless innings.

The Braves play an intrasquad game on Monday and will face the Astros on Tuesday.
