The Astros spun the first shutout against the Braves, winning 3-0. Chipper Jones and Troy Glaus got the day off for Atlanta.
THE GOOD: Several Braves pitchers didn't allow a run in their stints. Kris Medlen had two scoreless frames to start the game and Eric O'Flaherty, closer prospect Craig Kimbrel and Kyle Cofield each had a scoreless inning. Nate McLouth and Jason Heyward both had a double to their credit. David Ross and Yunel Escobar walked twice.
THE BAD: The Braves went 0-7 with runners in scoring position, stranding 12 runners overall. Eric Hinske and Omar Infante had 0-3 days, while Mitch Jones went 0-4. Chris Resop allowed two runs in his inning of work and Manny Acosta took the loss allowing one unearned run in two innings.
